Dwight D. Eisenhower Green Ash

Dwight David Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States , was born in the small frame house at 208 East Day Street in Denison , Texas , on October 14, 1890. The residence is just six blocks from downtown. His father, David, worked for the Missouri , Kansas & Texas Railroad which was headquartered in Denison . The family resided in Denison about three years, leaving when the future president was less than two years old. The park also includes a Visitor Center and gift shop which showcases memorabilia of the former president and five-star general who was supreme commander of allied forces in Europe during World War II.
