Chief Logan American Elm

Chief Logan was friendly with the settlers moving into Ohio until a group of settlers murdered his family. Seeking revenge, he stood beneath this elm and sent a message, saying, "Who is there to mourn for Logan? No one." The original tree died in 1964, but a local resident had collected seeds from the tree and already had an offspring tree growing in his yard. Your tree is grown from seeds collected from this first generation tree.
