Robert E. Lee Sweetgum

Robert E. Lee graduated second in his class from the United States Military Academy with out receiving one demerit. This is a record to this day. He fought at Harper's Ferry for the federal government, but when asked to lead the Union against the South he backed down and joined the Confederate Army, because he could not fight against his home land. This sweetgum grows at the place of his birth.
